State police conduct underage drinking operation
OWEGO -- New York State Police on Oct. 28 conducted an underage drinking operation in Tioga County.
All of the establishments were found to be in compliance, police said.
Underage and undercover subjects were sent into retail establishments which sell alcohol to ensure that store clerks are complying with the law prohibiting the sale of alcohol to minors, police said.
Fourteen establishments were checked in the towns of Owego, Candor and Spencer, and the hamlet of Apalachin, police said.
