SAYRE - The Che-Hanna Rock & Mineral Club will hold its November meeting on Nov. 14 at Sayre High School cafeteria at 7 p.m. The program will be on "Earthquakes," by Dr. Bruce Oldfield, professor of geological science.
Earthquakes have had a major impact on human societies and are likely to play a role in the future. Learn why earthquakes occur and what factors influence their impact on human societies. The public is welcome.
The regular meeting will be held after refreshments. Our members form an informal group, and welcome any person with a sincere interest in any of the branches of mineral and lapidary arts.
The name Che-Hanna was selected as a contraction of the two rivers, the Chemung and Susquehanna, which meet at Athens. We are a 501C3 organization. For more information, visit www.chehannarocks.com.
