Concerned about purchase

On Thursday, Dec. 15, the Sayre Borough Council approved the purchase of a new fire truck for the J.E. Wheelock Fire Company in Milltown.
The new fire truck would replace the company’s 1993 KME fire engine. The new fire truck is estimated to cost about $600,000. Was this an emergency purchase?
