Richter services held

Howard (Red) Richter, 64, of Chemung, New York, lost his battle to brain cancer on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at home surrounded by his family.

A time of gathering with family and friends was held from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2012, at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, New York.

The celebration of Red’s life was with the Rev. Martin Bovee, who honored his memory, on Monday, February 27, 2012, 11 a.m. at the Blauvelt Funeral Home. A special tribute to Red’s life was presented on DVD during the funeral service. Burial was in Chemung Cemetery, Chemung, New York with full military honors: firing squad — Jerry Keene, Jim Smith, Tom Chamberlain, Jerry Beatty, Mike Guilford, F. Hill, Bob Owen; color guard — Harry Earley, O.C. Spencer, Bernie Evans, Tony Skerpon; sargent of arms — Bernie Evans; chaplain — Tony Skerpon; color guard and firing squad captain — Harry Earley. Dougherty

Patricia Ann (Fuller) Dougherty, 72, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 24, 2012, due to a heart attack.

A funeral service will be held at Richards Funeral Home, Route 17C West, Owego, N.Y., on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 11 a.m., with her pastor, the Rev. Douglas Brock, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, N.Y.
