FUNERALS

Manning

A. Louise Manning, 85, formerly of Sayre, Pa. and Ithaca, N.Y., passed away on February 21, 2012 at Bradford County Manor, Burlington, Pa.

Friends and family may call on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, Pa. A Memorial Service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn Ensign officiating.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Louise’s memory to the: Sayre Public Library, 122 South Elmer Ave., Sayre, Pa. 18840.

Vrooman

Allan C. Vrooman, 53, passed away on Sunday February 26, 2012. Allan was born in Waverly, N.Y., on October 21, 1958.

He was predeceased by his father, Virgil Vrooman; his brothers, Roy Sturdevant and Larry Hartman.

A Funeral Service will be held at Richards Funeral Home, Rte. 17c West, Owego, N.Y. on Friday March 2, 2012 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Smith, Pastor of the Tioga Center Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Tioga Cemetery, Owego. Family and friends are invited to visit at Richards Funeral Home on Thursday March 1, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in memory of Allan to the Nichols American Legion Post #1624. Glasgow

Charlotte L. Glasgow, 90, went to her heavenly home to be reunited with her husband Billy on Monday, February 27, 2012.

Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Saturday, March 3, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Main St., Nichols. Funeral services and a celebration of a life well lived for Charlotte will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dan Martin and Pastor Brown Naik, officiating. A private service of internment will be held by the family in the Nichols Cemetery at a later date.
