Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother

Alice E. Tetreault, 92, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012, at ElderWood Healthcare at Tioga in Waverly, N.Y.

She was born on June 9, 1919, in Sheshequin Township, Pa., the daughter of (the late) Floyd S. and Bessie (Bidlack) Payne.

She was a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church and the Sayre and Athens Senior Citizens. Alice was employed with Ingersoll Rand, Athens Plant as a machine operator and also baby sat for several Valley families.

She is predeceased by her husband Ephraim; grandson, Brian Harding; sisters, Mabel Fice, Marie Horton, Irene Rumsey, Phyllis Williams, and Ida Mastellar; and brothers, L. Wilbur Payne, Fred Payne, Floyd Payne, Jr., and Carlton Payne; and stepmother, Mattie Myers Payne.

Alice is survived by her children: George (Nancy) Tetreault of Owego, N.Y., Robert Tetreault of Sayre, Pa., Marie (Terry) Harding of Waverly, N.Y., and Peter (Beth) Tetreault of Canada; grandchildren, Kelly Coneglien, Amy Nocchi, Lori Herzog, and Beth Morsep; great-grandchildren, Adam, Chris, Linzy, Trevor, and Taylor Nocchi and Joshua and Christopher Herzog; sisters, Grace Scrivener, Shirley Saik, and Sylvia Higgins; and her brothers, Elmer Payne and Martin Stevens.

AMemorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, Pa.

Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pa.
