Perry services held

Very well-attended funeral services for Joshua Perry were held Wednesday, March 7, at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Creation Services Inc. The Rev. Sharon Lowery and the Rev. Richard Lowery co-officiated.

Joshua’s son Haven, along with his uncle Brad, sister Tiffany, grandmother Margaret, brother Gavin, uncle Paul, and aunt Tabitha all offered eulogies.

Military honors were performed by the New York State Military Forces Honor Guard, Western Division. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, N.Y.

Ayers services held

The funeral service of Kenneth Leslie Ayers, 92, of South Hill Road, Wyalusing, Pa., (Orwell Twp.) was held Thursday, March 8, 2012, at noon at the Maryott- Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa., 18848, with the Rev. Daniel Orshaw, his nephew officiating. Interment was in Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, Pa. Pallbearer’s were George Watson, Bobby Jacobs, Kurt Jacobs, Kenny Jacobs, Donald Robinson, and Mike Forys.

Moore

Shirley M. Moore, 86, of Sayre, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at home following an extended illness.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, March 10, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, Pa. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. James Donahoo from Sayre Christian Church officiating.

Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pa.

Carole Ann Spencer, 72, of 1057 Golden Mile Road, Towanda, Pa., Wysox Twp., passed away early Wednesday morning, March 7, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Amemorial service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, South Main St., Towanda, Pa., with Pastor Jira Albers officiating. Interment will be in Mountain Lake Cemetery, Burlington Twp., Pa. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Contributions may be directed to the Towanda Public Library, 104 Main St. Towanda, PA 18848 in Carole Ann Spencer’s memory. Arrangements are under the direction of the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa.
