Errik David Seelman, 49

Errik David Seelman, 49, passed away Wednesday morning, March 14, 2012, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his parents, Dian Baccman, originally from Endicott, N.Y., and David and June Seelman, of Nichols, N.Y., his sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Scott MacDonald, and two nephews, Alex and Ian Mac- Donald, of Owego, N.Y.

Errik grew up in Endicott and Nichols, N.Y., and attended Maine-Endwell High School, during which time he won a gold medal in the Decathalon at the National Greek Youth Olympics. He relocated to San Jose, Ca. as a young adult, where he worked at several restaurants. Errik enjoyed tinkering with old cars, and beating everyone at chess, and had a special connection with animals of all types. As a child, he especially loved spending time at his grandparents’ farm, and hiking in the woods and singing with his sister.

Aservice of remembrance will be offered at the Christian Life Church, 207 Broad St., Waverly, N.Y., on March 24th, at 1:00 p.m., with a period of visitation and sharing to follow.
