Aline Eva Walborn, 87, of Sayre, Pa., passed away early Wednesday morning, April 4, 2012 at home.

Born Sept 15, 1924 in Towanda, Pa. she was a daughter of the late William and Clarissa Strope Moore.

Aline was a graduate of Waverly High School, Waverly, N.Y. Class of 1942. On September 22, 1942, she married Floyd Robert “Bob” Walborn in Franklindale, Pa. Aline was member of the Nichols Baptist Church, Nichols, N.Y. Her life encompassed her home and family. She enjoyed crocheting and reading.

Surviving are Her children, Rosemary and Ronald Cole of Sayre, Pa., Dale and Lisa Walborn of Vero Beach, Fla., David and Marion Walborn of Waverly, N.Y., Delbert Walborn of Sayre, Pa.; nine grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Nichols of Waverly, N.Y., Donald “Jake” Walborn of Mountain Lake, Pa., Roland Walborn of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Robert “Bob” Walborn on June 25, 2001, and sister, June Nichols.

Aline’s family expresses their deepest appreciation to Guthrie Hospice for the wonderful care, love and compassion provided during Aline’s illness.

The funeral and committal service will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Alteri-Bowen Funeral Home, 314 Desmond St., Sayre, Pa., with Pastor Ronald Park of the Nichols Baptist Church officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pa.
