Sam’s Bar & Grill on North Wilbur Ave. in Sayre is helping to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals throughout the area. This past weekend, Sam’s hosted a “Pints for Pups” fundraiser benefiting the Animal Care Sanctuary.

It was a community effort that included a doggie kissing booth donated by Doggy Doos Boutique & Barkery and live music by local musicians “The Redeyes.” In total, nearly $500 was raised in donations, with another $500 being donated by Sam’s Bar & Grill for a grand total of just under $1,000. In addition to the donations that will help keep the Animal Care Sanctuary supplied with the tools they need, one lucky pup was also adopted at the event, finding its forever home.

“In the eight months we’ve been in business here in Sayre, we’ve received such unbelievable support from our customers and felt it was time to give back. My parents and I love animals, so it was a cause that just made sense. We hope to be able to do more things like this in the future and thank our loyal patrons for making it all possible,” Samantha Lantz said.
