SAYRE — A 22nd suspect in the massive undercover drug operation led by the Bradford County Drug Task Force has been apprehended, according to court documents.
Sayre resident Thomas W. Darrow, 38, has been charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, a felony, and one count of criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony.
According to police, a pair of confidential informants made contact with Darrow through a voice call on Facebook messenger on November, 21, 2018.
“While speaking, the (confidential informants) made arrangements to purchase approximately seven grams of marijuana and six suboxone tablets from Darrow for $130,” the affidavit stated.
At approximately 12:06 p.m., police say they observed Darrow appear in the downtown Athens Dandy Mini Mart parking lot next to an unidentified vehicle. The suspect then allegedly introduced himself to the informant and an undercover officer, and proceeded to complete the transaction.
Darrow was arraigned on Tuesday in front of Magisterial District Justice Larry Hurley and sent to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on June 25.
