Snyder student honored with Redskin Spotlight Award

The Sayre Area School District Board of Education presented second grader Kellin Sorensen with the Redskin Spotlight Award during Monday’s board meeting. “Kellin is a second grade student in Mr. Patterson’s class. Kellin has a classmate who uses a communication device. At times, this device becomes disabled. Kellin is very technically advanced and always willing to help out and fix the device so that the child can use it as it’s intended,” school board president Pete Quattrini explained. Kellin is pictured here accepting his award alongside, from left to right, Pete Quattrini, Snyder second grade teacher Jeff Patterson and Snyder Principal Michelle Murrelle.
