Raising awareness of veteran suicide

Six hundred sixty American flags stand on the lawn of the Tioga County Office Building, representing the nationwide number of veterans who take their own lives each month. The “Field of the Forgotten Fallen” is a monthlong exhibit put together by the Tioga County Veterans’ Services Agency for Suicide Awareness month to drive recognition of the 22 veterans who commit suicide each day throughout the country.
