Standing guard

Members of the Silas Gore Camp No. 141 of the Sons of Union Veterans honored fallen American servicemen and women on Memorial Day by “standing guard” over the burial sites of Civil War soldiers in East Smithfield on Monday.

The "standing guard" of fallen Civil War soldiers' tombstones by Post 141 at the E. Smithfield Cemetery (aka Union Cemetery) is great to see and they should be commended for this exceptional tribute. Thank you Post 141! It would also be nice to see the tombstones at this Cemetery positioned correctly and not fallen or tilted as your photograph shows.
