“Love does not die, people do. So that when all that is left of me is love, give me away as best you can.” - Author Unknown

Barb was a devoted and cherished wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was fondly known as “Grama Barb”. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Married at 18, she and her husband Jack first lived in Carrollton, OH. They moved twice to follow Jack’s career with Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co. They first moved to Leicester, NY before finally settling in Troy, PA where they

have lived for the past 45 years. Each time they moved, she built a strong home for her family. Everyone that knew her, knew of her great love for anything blue, which was prominently displayed in everything from the way she adorned her home to the way she dressed.

Preceded in death by her parents Arthur Chenot and Esther Chenot (née Bixler), as well as in-laws Kermit and Lesta Long (née Buehler), brother-in-law Dick (wife Darlene), and sisters-in-law Marilyn Zocholl and Margie Hobson. Barb is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Jack M. Long; daughter Justine Foster (husband Atty. Jonathan Foster) of Warren Center, Pa. and daughter Jana Good (husband Dr. Vance Good) of Troy, Pa.; her grandchildren Jenna Close (husband Christopher) of South Waverly, Pa., Jackey Good (John E. Elliott) of New York, NY, and Shayne Good of Troy, Pa.; her great-grandchildren Sophia and Ethan Close; her adored sister Marie Poffek of Canton, OH, brother Louis Chenot (wife June) of Joplin, MO, and sister Carol McCullough (husband Joseph) of Wooster, OH; brother-in-law Scott Long (wife Janice) of East Liverpool, OH, and sisters-in-law Kathy Saltsman (husband Bill) of Alliance, OH & Patty Leslie (husband Dick) of Carrollton, OH; step-grandchildren Michael Foster (wife Camcie and children Alaan & Ridley), Patrick Foster (wife Electra and daughter Athena), Sean Foster, and Jonathan Foster, Jr. (wife Kristen); as well as several nieces and nephews.
