Donald (Donkey) R. Blakeman, 84, passed away peacefully at home on June 4, 2019.

Donkey was a true outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing, trapping and gardening. He enjoyed watching the birds that would visit the little sanctuary that he had for them in his front yard. Donkey was the happiest when he was visiting with his many friends in the Valley and taking long rides on the back roads. He often shared memories of hunting with his son Mark in Colorado.

He is predeceased by his parents Clearance and Agnes (Chandler) Blakeman; sons Mark Blakeman of Montrose, Colo., Michael Blakeman of Athens, Pa.; and longtime partner Patricia (Field) Glosenger.

He is survived by his sister Mary (Blakeman) Kohler of Waverly, N.Y.; daughter-in-law Sheila (Walsh) Blakeman of Montrose, Colo.; his aunt Rosemary (Chandler) Norconk of Waverly, N.Y.; grandchildren Michael Blakeman of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Jyliane Blakeman Murfreesboro, Tenn., Chad Burgess of Lowman, N.Y., Brittany Blakeman of Gunnison, Colo., Brad Blakeman of Lowman, N.Y., Samantha Glosenger of Sayre, Pa.; and several great-grandchildren. Niece Tammy (Kohler) Farnham of Waverly, N.Y.; nephew Michael Kohler of Waverly, N.Y.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
