Jane Vernon, 69, of Waverly, N.Y., passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family.
    Jane was born July 16, 1938 in Waverly, the daughter of the late Laura Whiting Vernon and John Vernon. She was also predeceased by her brother Charles Vernon, her nephew Stephen Searfoss and her brother-in-law Harold Searfoss.
    Jane was a lifelong resident of the Valley, living all of her life in the family home in Waverly.
    She is survived by her special companion of 36-years, Henry Campbell at home; her sister Shirley Searfoss of Waverly; her brother Carl (Florence) Vernon, of Waverly; three nieces, Lori (Joe) Rossi, Annette (Paul Reinheart) Vernon, and Ruth Ann Searfoss; two nephews James and John Searfoss and two great nieces Paula and Rachael Rossi, as well as several cousins.
    Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10 at 11 a.m. at the Luckner Funeral Home, 449 Park Ave., Waverly, N.Y., with the Rev. William Wells officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Internment will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery, Waverly.
