Mary Boyle O’Mara, 95, of 404 Desmond St., Sayre, Pa. passed away Saturday evening July 5, 2008 at her home.
Born May 22, 1913 in Plymouth, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary Ward Boyle.
Mary was a graduate of Sayre Area High School, class of 1931.
In earlier years she was employed by the Metropolitan Insurance Co. in Sayre and Binghamton, NY.
Mary was a member of the Church of the Epiphany and the church prayer group.
She formerly served as a volunteer at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre and for Meals on Wheels for a number of years.  Mary also served as an emergency volunteer during the Hurricane Agnes Flood of 1972.
Surviving are: Her Son,  Tim O’Mara of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter,  Molly O’ Mara and her husband, Ricardo Delgado of Bristol, NH; two grandsons, Greg Kunkel of Rochester, NH, Brian Kunkel of S. Berwick, Maine; her special caregiver,  Jim Lyons of Sayre.
In addition to her parents, Cornelius and Mary Boyle, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond O’Mara in 1984 and by her brother Joseph Boyle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday July 9, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, South Elmer Ave., Sayre.
There are no calling hours.
Interment will be in the Epiphany Cemetery, Sayre.
The Alteri- Bowen Funeral Home of Sayre is assisting Mary’s family with arrangements.
