Editor,

Recently, in our neighborhood of McDuffee Street and Clinton Street, we have seen two pitbulls visiting multiple times. One is black, the second is brown.

They have been seen right up close to our homes and it is very scary to all of us, especially to the neighbors that have children and grandchildren playing in our yards.

Those of us who have pets are also worried that our pets could be attacked by these two dogs and that could lead to serious problems. If you are the owner, or owners, of these two dogs, could you please see that they are kept in your yard and not allowed to roam the neighborhood. We as pet owners have that responsibility to our neighbors to see that our pets are contained to our property unless invited elsewhere.

I have seen many needless surgeries because of dog bites and I would hope that the owners of these dogs consider that. Thank you.
