Just passing thru but I noticed
2008-03-17T00:53:34 Whew, sorry bout that folks I must have been out of my head for a second. Guess I represent all the out of towners, flatlander hunters, and various other contractors that have to pass thru, work and stay in the valley. Please keep your bars and dives full of twenty something women, drugs, smoking and plenty of fighting. Its safer than a big town but just scuzzy enough to get your rocks off. Can't wait to come back.

2008-03-17T03:23:37 I just want to add that the sports complex was being in the works and was being put together and planned out by the company this is on Lincoln street .....I remember the car cause it was at a Fan fair a couple years ago...I do not remember who won and do not remember reading about it ....The posting is on that road along 17c....that it is the future site so maybe it is still in the works I do not know ...Hope this will help or get answers for you ....

2008-03-17T03:27:18 I just wanted to tell my family hello. The boys are doing good. To my sister I love you and I hope to see you this summer.

wow
2008-03-17T06:48:52 ok ive been reading thru these post and it blows my mind. I have lived in the valley my whole life, im 22yr olds and what u say about the "barflies" I am def not one of them. Yes I go once in a while, nothing wrong with that. And I dont get the whole unwanted child thing. Im sorry but even if you are a young mom that child is usually wanted. I am a young mom i had my daughter at 21. and I am a single parent but I also work at the hospital and go to nursing school. So im sorry but not everyone around here is like that guy said..outta everyone i know maybe two have std's or stupid stuff like that..I love the Valley

Valley past
2008-03-17T10:33:25 It sure has changed over the decades.I remember the Christmas parties. A nice parade, and then milk (Athens Dairy)and donuts for the kids and a free movie at one of the valley theaters. Oh, those prices. $.12 for the matinee. And in Athens you could stop at Horton's and get a bag of fresh roasted peanuts to take with you. And if you had any money left? It would be Durants on the way home for some ice cream. Those were the days. No computers, dope,or other bad things. Just wholesome good times with the girl next door. lol

GO GREEN
2008-03-17T13:59:10 GOD BLESS ALL THE NAMES THAT ARE ENGRAVED ON THE WALL AT ELLIS ISLAND THAT MADE US IRISH AMERICANS!!! IF WE CAN HAVE A BLACK HISTORY MONTH WHY NOT MAKE ST. PATRICKS DAY A NATIONAL HOLIDAY? YOU GOTTA FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT FOR FREEDOM !!!!!!! KNOW YOUR HERITAGE!!! c

2008-03-17T14:44:49 I think life is to short to do all the complaining that these people do,they don't have anything better to do with their time. It would be nice to see people thinking and saying positive thoughts for a change.

the valley
2008-03-17T18:14:34 I can say myself that the valley is a pretty crappy place but it's how you make it. You can't sit around and expect to have fun that's why the valley is surrounded by areas like ithaca which has some beautiful state parks and there is also watkins glen. As far as the police i don't think we need more police i think they should just worry more about the big things and less about the little things. They officers in this area can be quite harassing for small problems. And as far as the drugs you just have to know what your kids are doing and where they are at. It's not good parenting or bad parenting, it's common sense. Everyone knows what the valley is about. So ppl should just stop complaining if you don't like it here then don't come here or leave. This place is for some ppl and for others it's not. My father was raised here and so was I and I will raise my kids here too!!!

to all the valley complainers
2008-03-17T19:06:47 instead of worring about the way people look, why don't you worry about all the crimes that are going on, what about how bad the drugs have gotten around here. leave people alone if they think they look good then who cares, don't like it then turn the other way, they're not out to impress you, and talking about all the fast food around here where do you expect people to eat when they want to go out. are you paying for they're food? worry about yourselfes and your own life. for god sake shauntel
2008-03-17T19:13:20 well i have been away from the valley for 25 years. I am going back for 1983 sayre reunion this september and I can not wait. For those of us who have lived in the valley during that time we have to remember that growing up in a small town made us what we are today. i can say that i am respected , run my own company and i am very proud of my upbringing which was in the valley. Rick Green -just wanted to say hi you haven't emailed lately.... talk soon and enjoy the valley it is a great place. oh by the way I HAD to move because of my parents jobs i did not leave because i wanted to. enjoy your day!!

sports complex
2008-03-17T20:18:21 the morning times should do some investigation into this story. If several valley businesses donated plus people at the fan fair bought raffle tickets, where did the money go? please bring your readers up to date. tv section
2008-03-17T20:34:00 why does the morning times keep printing the tv section with errors? one listing is unknown, and nine are just plain wrong . they have been wrong for about ten years. yes, years. when was the last time we watched WPIX?? in the space you waste you could have more current articles, such as weddings, etc. what a waste of money and ink your paper does.

sound off
2008-03-17T20:42:17 why are peoples comments deleted when they are just their own opinions? doesn't the morning times believe in freedom of speech? not only do local businesses pay the paychecks of your employees, but also subscribers to your paper. don't you have an obligation to the people to bring truthful news , or do you only collect money from sponsors?

Oh people!
2008-03-17T20:44:43 Listen, I think that if someone smells in a public place then we do have the right to say something as it does invade OUR space and maybe in health! It's not about what people look like, it's about cleanliness and health issues. c

ongress is passing a bill........
2008-03-17T20:47:38 Did you see on the news that Congress is passing a bill that would make it mandatory for all public bathrooms to be clean and have toilet paper in them?? Is this where our taxes are going to? And what I don't get is that if the dept of health is doing their jobs why is this an issue all of a sudden? Oh, wait I bet there was a congressman that had no toilet paper............. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

re: felons
2008-03-17T22:34:50 just how many felons are there in this town?? tell us more about what you know! do you know any felons that own a bar??

re: congress
2008-03-17T22:49:56 yes, i saw something on tv about bathrooms. it's only common sense for a store to keep it clean and provide toilet paper, but things are getting bad everywhere. i think the worse thing about our taxes was when pres.bush provided 700 million dollars to africa for condoms and mosquito nets. go figure.

The economy fell in the toilet today!
2008-03-17T23:13:51 Bear Stearns was bought out by jpmorgan today by $2 dollars a share! This economy is in the freakin toilet thanks to Bush! Oh, and thank you to the valley- 60 % of you voted for this guy!

RECESSION................
2008-03-18T01:52:22 I am so concerned our future! WHY IN THE WORLD ISN'T OUR ELECTED GOV'T AND PRESIDENT DOING ANYTHING TO HELP US? Bush continues to say that our country is not in a recession ---------------------- WHAT?!!!!!!!! Wake up already! A MAJOR INVESTMENT FIRM WENT OUT OF BUSINESS TODAY! People losing jobs left and right, have no health coverage, prices of food and gas is higher than ever. Bush should go grocery shopping on a $100 budget and try to buy enough food to last for a family of 4 for a week---including all the toiletries! Maybe then and only then he'll wake up and see real life! Aren't any of you concerned about our nation?

Boozers
2008-03-18T01:53:19 There are too many boozers and druggies in this town to be concerned about the economy. They drown their sorrows in a shot of tequila.

Senseless!
2008-03-18T03:23:08 Just senseless comments in here! The people in the valley need to watch CNN more often so that you actually get out of your comfort zone and realize what is going on in our country. For those of you that do not have cable, you are on the internet so log onto CNN.com.

GOD BLESS OUT TROOPS!
2008-03-18T03:24:20 We, as in ALL AMERICANS need to start a campaign to bring our troops home already! Spending all this money on a war is ridiculous. BRING OUR MEN AND WOMEN HOME! BRING OUR TROOPS HOME!
2008-03-18T03:24:54 End the fighting! Bring our troops home already!

Lynn Wolcott
2008-03-18T09:58:53 Congrats to my daughter Erica an son-in-law Nick Barrick on the birth of my 3rd grandchild. Gage Michael who weighted in at 2 lbs. 1 oz.

keep informed
2008-03-18T10:53:20 i am always watching the news to keep up with our nation. i agree that bush has no idea of what it's like to live as an average american. i see our politicians in charge almost choke on the word recession. all they can say is it's a slow time. they have no idea of what gas costs to drive them around in their gas-guzzling suburbans. our financial institutions are crumbling because we have been encouraged to buy everything with a credit card, not thinking about keeping up with actual paying with cash. it's a disgrace about people losing homes to foreclosure , all our jobs are given to overseas, many in india.

to the farter
2008-03-18T10:55:06 sounds like you enjoy your farting with a passion. i'm glad it's your mission in life. perhaps you should find a way to bottle it and sell it . perhaps nasa can use it. you'll become a millionaire.

to all coment's about valley and all gross stuff
2008-03-18T12:24:58 This all sound's to me like alot of people with to much time on your hand's, Why don't some of you get a job and make a difference? But then again it's more fun to set on your as... and be on the internet all day on the computer that our tax money paid for most of you....

WHY?
2008-03-18T13:23:45 WHY WASN'T MY COMMENT POSTED ON THE WEBSITE FOR SEX-OFFENDERS-EVERYONE HAS A RIGHT TO KNOW WHO LIVES AROUNG THEM

wondering
2008-03-18T13:50:44 I am also wondering why people find time to complain about other people's hygiene when our country has many, much bigger problems.

Wrestling Parents
2008-03-18T14:12:11 CONGRATS TO----NATE NORDIN 1ST PLACE--JAKE GOODRICH 2ND PLACE--NATHAN GARRITY 1ST PLACE--AJ BURKHART 1ST PLACE--DAMON KOBE 3RD PLACE AND JORDAN GOODRICH 1ST PLACE AT THE GREENE NY TOURNAMENT HELD SATURDAY MARCH 15TH. GOOD LUCK GUYS IN SYRACUSE APRIL 5TH.

Julie Smith
2008-03-18T14:12:46 I'm sick of hearing that the average price of a 4 year degree is $250,000. That's a load of crap. You can get a degree from 13 state schools for rougly $10K to $15K per year. And anyone that wants to knock a state school. I went to Mansfield twice, received my bachelor and Master's degree there and now live back in the valley making close to $90K per year. Not a bad salary in this area. I could make more in other areas but chose to stay here and raise my kids. And to top it off I put myself through with loans and grants. So parents out there, if you can save for college for your kids great, if not, let them work for it. It builds character.

Beth
2008-03-18T14:23:11 I only come back home about every 2-4 yrs. Love coming, but can't wait to get back to Fl. BUT I loved going to this site ever day, just to see what was happening and who was saying hi, but I don't think I will visit this guestbook anymore--YOU ALL need to GROW UP!!! And get a life!!!.

to beth
2008-03-18T16:51:37 i'm glad you enjoyed your visit back home again. what is florida like? it's interesting you loved going to this site every day, you must have had some pleasure. thank you so much now that we can take your advice and grow up. now i finally have the go-ahead to get a life. i didn't realize that i wasn't alive til you gave me permission. you got a lot to learn about human nature yourself. did you have anything of interest to add to this website or just criticize the valley? have a nice trip.

sex offender website
2008-03-18T17:12:14 call your local borough/town council president and find out about our right to know re sex offenders living around us.

Why watch CNN?
2008-03-18T17:16:26 To the comment about CNN..why would that particular news network educate us at all...except to give liberal/slanted opinions and shove them down our throats as fact?

voting
2008-03-18T17:24:02 if you live in waverly, get out and vote today!!!!!!!!! just go
2008-03-18T18:25:37 just go to state police website and look up megans law, there you will find all the sex offenders in the area, whats the problem? its already at our service to know...... c

lean up
2008-03-18T19:00:17 I am so amazed as i ride around in Sayre and see all the litter and garbage all on the side of the roads ! I see oil bottles, old computers, tires and just plane garbage along the roads ! Do we not have anyone to clean this up and what about our street sweeper, haven't seen that in operation in a very long time. Is it possible to have the people who get community service to go along and clean this up ? I have lived here a very long time and I have never seen Sayre look so run down and dirty. Come on Sayre Borough, take some pride in our town !

sex offender
2008-03-18T19:12:28 I gave the WRONG website in my last post. It is.....www.FamilyWatchDog.us. It will show you where and who lives by you. Please check it out.

go back to school
2008-03-18T19:13:36 see old bottles, old computers, tires and just (plain, plain, plain) not plane, not going for an airplane ride whoever you are.......dah.....if you have lived in Sayre a very long time, go out and run that street sweeper, do something, your grammar is laughable. I have got to get out of here before I am put in an institution for the remainder of my life......help....hahahaha.....

for go back to school
2008-03-18T20:01:51 Wow.....my point is...the town is dirty and looks awful. Excuse my grammer, that I will fix and you can fix your poor attitude !

to: clean up
2008-03-18T20:17:10 you took the words out of my mouth, i too have noticed sayre going downhill. part of the problem is the way that the boro workers pick up the trash on trash day. sayre needs to update their rules on how to put gargage out on the streets. bags would be the best solution . and then if something loose falls on the road after the worker dumps a can , he should simply pick it up and put it into the garbage truck. but if you watch, it is left on the ground. only to be run over by cars, or blown away by the wind. please call the boro office with this complaint , as something has to be done. to: go back to school
2008-03-18T20:22:44 now just who are you to criticize someone because they spelled something wrong? you sound like someone who doesn't care about the town you live in. you are probably the kind that litters and expects someone else to pick up after you. yes, go into an institution and learn some manners. not for the remainder of your life, maybe just half. send us a postcard. or better yet , you take the job of running the street sweeper. do something good . c

nn/fox/whatever
2008-03-18T20:25:11 just watch the news and educate yourself. then type your comments here in the guestbook.

re: sex offenders
2008-03-18T20:26:49 thank you for the website info, i have been wondering for a long time who my neighbors are. I think NYS has a website, but not sure about PA.

re sex offender
2008-03-18T21:09:42 yes both or all states have these websites. i use the watchdog one for nys, and pa state police, megans law for pa.

TO JULIE SMITH
2008-03-18T21:15:04 If you were a good parent then you would pay for your child's college! Harvard, Yale, ...these great institutions are very expensive. Why would you want your kids to go to a less than average educational institution? 10 to 15thousand a year is probably a vocational school of some sort. You should really think about what you write before you post it in here! curious about Julie Smith
2008-03-18T22:42:56 what kind of job here in the area are you doing that pays 90K? do you have to pay back any of the loans or grants you got?

A State School Grad
2008-03-18T22:43:32 In response to the "good parent's" who should pay for Harvard or Yale, Get Real!! How much you spend on a child's college education does not determine if you are a good parent or not. I happen to have my degree from a state school, and while 10-15 thousand may be a bit off the mark, I got a great education and have never had any trouble finding work in my field! Talk about thiking before writing!

re: sex offender websites
2008-03-18T22:47:13 thank you again for the info, we spent half the afternoon looking at our locals. we were shocked to even see people we knew from years ago. some of these guys are pretty close to home. now i know who to watch out for and to warn my neighbors and their children.

Sex offender website
2008-03-19T02:35:28 I found it very useful! I work at a daycare in Athens and I can't believe that just in the Waverly/Athens lines that there were 19 sex offenders posted!! None the less on who lives a couple blocks up the street! I don't have children but there are tons of children in this area!! I am going to share this website with the parents at our daycare so they can take a look!! Thanks to whoever posted that comment!! Jodie
2008-03-19T03:34:05 Speaking of garbage on the side of the road, it's soooo bad on Shepard road. Last year I was at the Waverly Glen with my dog and I ended up going up a path that led to the cemetery (idk the name). Anyway, I saw something in the woods and the dog and I walked over to see what it was. Do you know that it was pathetic plastic flowers and plants and pots and banners and wreaths....everthing a dead person could ever want. I understand peoples need to put this junk on graves. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THROWING IT IN THE WOODS ONCE THE SEASON CHANGES AND YOU ARE ASKED TO REMOVE IT. I tied my dog to a tree and I made 3 large piles of fake flower crap and then I went to the Village of Waverly and asked to pick it up. A cemetery for pete's sake. That's right quick toss no one is going to see you right?

To the state college grad>
2008-03-19T03:34:59 YOu idiot! What the hell is "thiking"?

To the "Julie Smith":
2008-03-19T03:36:23 First of all, no one in their right mind would post their real name and how much money they earn on a public website, unless you are a complete fool!

tHIS TOWN IS FOR THE CRAZIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2008-03-19T03:53:30 That about sums it up! After reading the top 19 complaints in here, the valley is going down hill! Are there any decent people here?

The obama speech today
2008-03-19T03:59:47 THE USA IS IN A RECESSION!!! AND ALL OBAMA WANTED TO TALK ABOUT IS RACISM! What the hell is wrong with this country if this is the kind of person we have running for President? I have news for all races: SLAVERY ENDED A VERY LONG TIME AGO! Get over it! People act as if white people still use blacks as slaves! (Do you see Jewish people raising issues with Germans? One example out of many.) Why does race always have to be an issue with people of color? We all have the same given opportunity in this country to make something of our lives so move on already! TALK ABOUT HOW YOU ARE GOING TO FIX THIS ECONOMIC DISASTER THAT WE ARE IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wHY???????
2008-03-19T04:03:07 Why is it that when you are applying for a job that employers ask you what ethnic background you are? Companies say that "it's a governmental survey", I think it is absolutely ridiculous! Companies have to fill a certain number of positions with people less than adequate qualifications to meet a quota on having "minorities" in their company, meanwhile the companies are taking away jobs from people that actually do qualify for the position! WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR COUNTRY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!???????????

Hicks and dogs
2008-03-19T04:17:06 You are a hick if you put your dog in the back of your pick up truck and ride there! Years ago, that might have been acceptable but now a days, it is animal abuse! IF ANYONE SEES DOGS IN THE BACK OF A VEHICLE PICK UP YOUR CELL AND CALL THE POLICE! Dogs can jump out and get seriously injured. Would you allow your kids to ride back there? Don't answer that, you hicks!

Jodie
2008-03-19T12:44:59 While I was working in an animal hospital a family, 2 littles girls and 2 parents, left with their freshly groomed beloved pet and they ignorantly tied him in the back. Half and hour later and they came running in with everyone crying and that poor dog.... the pads on his feet were burned right off not to mention the rest of his road rash. Everyone remembers that Humans domesticated these animals right??

the crazies town
2008-03-19T12:52:36 this town is full decent people. so what are you doing here?

racism
2008-03-19T12:57:49 we find that the black people keep racism alive. they from time to time remind the country of what happened to their ancestors. it is a real shame that slaves were here years ago. instead of looking at the present and the future, they make sure we continually get sucked back into the past. until all colors of people can reach an understanding of what this country should be, i'm afraid that we whites will always be told we owe them. hiring practices
2008-03-19T13:02:30 yes, years ago a company had to hire so many minorities. so you could have been the perfect person to do a job, but if you were up against the last position that had to fulfill that hiring requirement, you lost to that other person. just another government problem created years ago. it has happened to us.

to the morning times reporters
2008-03-19T13:38:39 do you read the comments submitted under your own article you wrote? I see many people have asked questions about your news story. It would be nice to answer the questions and write follow-up articles to inform the public.

The worst thing about racism.......
2008-03-19T15:08:13 Black people seem to forget that Jesus Christ gave his life for all of us, NAILED TO A CROSS. I am most certain that this was more painful than SLAVERY! To all of you who still have to remind us about your slavery heritage: Think for a minute and wonder if Christ would be a racist. Too many people out there seem to forget what life is really about. They go through their whole lives never realizing that God put all of us here for a reason. The reason most definitely is not to remind us that your Great-grandpappy was a slave!

White Democrat
2008-03-19T15:41:02 It is difficult for people in the Valley to make criticisms regarding race. What are the demographics of the population living in the Valley? Unfortunately racism is alive and going strong in our country. It is ignorant to assume that it does not exist. I applaud Obama for making a statement regarding this topic... too many politicians skirt around the subject. c

oncerned about
2008-03-19T15:41:54 OMG....this valley is full of hipocrits they go to church on Sunday and then condemn people that afternoon....smoking,drinking,drug use etc....it's one's choice. They know what they are doing and continue doing it.....We need to think about our Men and Women fighting for OUR FREEDOM !!!! But it seems nobody care's....I can't believe what people post on here.....and then get a big conversation going on the subject.....how about some constructive critisimn for once...let's see if we can post Something Nice, Maybe a Please Bring Our Soldiers Home Safe And Soon.....God Bless Them and OUR Country.....We live where we Live, People do what they want, and some people don't like it, just move on and hope your family's learn from what they see. Life is to short to worry about who Farted, stinks in the store or who's dog crapped on their floor....Yes....we are known as Meth Valley....maybe we could change that and Make Our Valley a Nicer place to Live and Raise OUR Children.....

to : concerned about
2008-03-19T17:14:57 yes, you're right. let's bring on some constructive criticism. start up something nice for us to talk about. i agree, we need to bring home our troops, but try to convince pres. bush that. he is still planning to stay in iraq no matter what. did you see vice pres cheney this morning on ABC? he was asked (or told) that the american people want to end the war. His reply..."so?" then he was asked don't you care about what the american people think? and he went on to talk nonsense , in my opinion.

how to Make Our Valley a Nicer place to Live
2008-03-19T17:28:43 clean up your properties, stop littering, shovel your sidewalk in the winter. mow your yard in the summer, if garbage falls out of your truck, pick it up , don't expect others to pick up afteryou. don't let your garbage and beer cans blow into your neighbor's yard.clean up after your dogs. make the police enforce the laws re: speeding, drugs, drunk driving, vandalism. make sure parents know how to raise children, keep them clean and make sure they get a good education, feed them well, think first of that child instead of getting a new tattoo. Be kind to neighbors, don't use or steal from them.anything else?

stimulus package-tax rebates
2008-03-19T17:32:56 how do you plan to spend your rebate check that pres. bush will be sending you in may??? do you think this will put an end to all the problems with our "recession"?? will the cost of gas go down after that? will people start to save their homes from foreclosure? will new jobs pop up?

GOOD NEWS!!!
2008-03-19T17:57:28 I see in today's news that Mr. Santulli has a second site for the secret Fortune 100 company. It was only on Thursday that plans fell through, thus making a DEVASTATING news story...However, it's very wonderful that just a few days later, he's pulled this second site out of his hat. All the hype about losing a great opportunity for Chemung Co. and now it's still in the works. gee whiz.

Rebate:
2008-03-19T18:02:43 I plan on putting mine in the Bank....may need it in the Future

look at the good points
2008-03-19T20:44:05 their are alot of good people in the valley, But there are not many jobs to go on unless you have a connection,

To the racism comments
2008-03-19T21:06:54 Obama is ridiculous if he thinks RACISM is the priority that Americans are thinking about! It was a waste of time for him to hold a press conference about it! My God, there is a war going on, we are in a recession, inflation, crime, you name it, America needs help! Other countries sit back at us and laugh for crying out loud. IF HE GETS ELECTED, COULD YOU IMAGINE HOW MANY TIMES WE HAVE TO HEAR ABOUT FREAKING RACISM????????

My cat could be president!
2008-03-19T21:08:04 I believe my cat would make a better presidential candidate!

Valley drugs
2008-03-19T21:08:53 If this place is known for meth then why isnt the DEA stepping in and making arrests already?!

Valerie Hunsinger
2008-03-19T21:13:07 I think that the new anonymity is making this guestbook a very unpleasant place to visit lately. Too many people are enjoying taking stabs at anyone and everyone because they dont have to put their names here anymore. Too bad there are so many cowards...I would be willing to bet that if it went back to the old way, where you had to enter a valid email address and your name, the nastiness would quietly fade away into the woodwork and these people would have to find another way to vent their unhappiness, maybe they could go beat up some little kid and take his candy away so that it doesnt make his teeth rot. It seems like thats what it would take to make these cowards feel useful. Hard to believe people could just hate the whole world like these ones do. Very sad.

Karen B
2008-03-19T21:37:05 I want to wish my "old" friend Carolann Prothero-Shaver a very happy birthday on Thursday, I hope your day is wonderful.

a coward?
2008-03-19T22:06:17 hello, val . just because you don't know who i am, doesn't make it right for you to be name-calling. now i think that is what's sad. i am probably old enough to be your grandparent, have seen a lot in my day. i only enter comments here to get other people to start up a conversation, or just to get other people's opinions. what's wrong with that? who hates the world? many comments here are trying to improve our valley or country. haven't you read them? do you have children? it's strange to me that you think that way , that someone should go beat up some little kid for his candy. you said a lot about yourself without even realizing it.

meth valley
2008-03-19T22:10:50 don't know why the DEA isn't involved. all we know is that this valley has been called that for years. read the papers and follow the work of bradford county sheriffs office.

easter bunny
2008-03-19T22:12:04 didn't know that about the bunny, but bunnies are known for other things.

whats in a name
2008-03-19T22:48:28 Valerie I understand how you feel but some people don't leave there name in fear of being yelled at, judged or just called a coward ! Its a small town Valerie and people can be mean. I love it here and have for a long time but, some things do need to be fixed and one is ( another post ) the amount of litter everywhere ! I didn't notice it till this was posted the other day. My name is Jill W ( no last name ) and I would like to know what I could do to help fix this , and no I can't run a sweeper like that grumpy person suggested. Any ideas ?

Rod Garrison
2008-03-19T22:52:11 It used to be possible to click on a persons name so you could contact them directly. Is that an option that you may bring back to this site. For those of us not in the valley anymore, it was a way to "reconnect" with friends we lost touch with.

Stay anonymous
2008-03-20T00:30:29 Not only a fear of being yelled at or judged, if you leave your name and you rub someone the wrong way, they will look you up and vandalize you. This website should be for communication with others or discussing ways to improve our town. Not for name-calling and criticizing. Also have a little fun without hurting others.

To the person with chronic gas pain
2008-03-20T00:33:12 Better go see your doctor. Or re-locate to that new planet they found in the constellation Vulpecula, it's star number is HD 189733b. They found it by detecting the high amounts of methane, which is what you obviously suffer from.

Mike Henrich
2008-03-20T00:49:23 I would like to repond to some of the complaints that I have noticed lately in this guestbook. I am one of the Sayre Borough Public Works employees, that you complained about concerning garbage collection. I have lived in Sayre most of my life. I take a lot of pride in my job and I take pride in my hometown. I enjoy living and working in Sayre. I will be the first to tell you, we try to be as careful as we can concerning debris falling out of the back of the truck when we pick up the garbage. The rules concerning garbage collection are very clear. For those of you that do not know, here they are. We collect garbage from single and 2 unit houses only. 3 unit houses and businesses must have their garbage collected from a private hauler. Each address is allowed either two 45 gallon cans of garbage or three 32 gallon cans of garbage each week. Any excess garbage is left behind. That is what we were told to do. We adhere to exactly what the garbage ordinance says. We do not collect any corrugated cardboard. Cardboard must be recycled. The reason for this, is to save the taxpayers money on dumping fees. We have eliminated many tons of garbage being hauled and dumped by eliminating the cardboard collected on garbage routes. Unfortunately, you are correct when you mentioned that garbage is on the side of the streets. I am sure that some of it may be the cardboard that we leave behind on the garbage routes. I must reiterate, we try very hard to limit what falls out of the back of the truck. I hope that this information encourages all of you to begin to recycle as much as you can. We do curbside recycling , twice per month for each garbage zone. There is a drop off location at the borough shed on Thomas Ave. You may recycle there on Wednesdays from 4-7 PM or on Saturdays from 8 AM - 3PM. As far as the street sweeper is concerned, it is not used during the winter months. We need to fill the sweeper with water in order for it to be used to sweep the streets. I am sure that you will see it being used as soon as the weather gets warmer.

TO the ever-so "perfect" Valerie:
2008-03-20T01:42:12 Get with the program lady! This guestbook is the best thing happening in this town! I find it to be very humorous, among other things. From people wanting to clean up the town to the happenings of the night life to people that stink.........we have it all! Besides, this place keeps it real! Peace out Val! Peace out!

My cat for president!
2008-03-20T01:44:08 A cat for president and a dog for vp! There would be alot of hissing and howling going on in that big ole white house now wouldn't there be?

To Valerie
2008-03-20T01:44:45 You are perfect aren't you?

Going back to the valley..........
2008-03-20T01:53:03 After 20 years of being away from the valley, I recently visited and to my amazement, the town has just gone down hill. Homes are looking awful, porches and roofs are falling apart. Garbage and trash is everywhere. It seems as though there are alot of stores that are just downright dirty even. I could not believe it. When it gets warm outside, I sure hope that the community bans together and helps one another to fix these issues. Look around, your neighborhood looks like its the hood or something. I know that everyone is not that poor in the valley so why in the world let your homes and the town go to hell this way? In many neighborhoods there are home owner associations. Maybe the valley needs to organize something like this to enforce people to have at least a decent yard without junk piled in it. Good luck!

Lisa Alteri
2008-03-20T02:07:30 Kudo's to Mike Henrich. I for one think he and the other Sayre Boro worker's do a great job - I'm sure it's not always a pleasant job but they do it rain or shine.

Someone has to do it.........
2008-03-20T04:12:07 I remember when I was in French class in SHS ('84) the teacher said "If you kids don't pay attention you could wind up working on a garbage truck". I sat in front of a girl who's father actually did work on a garbage truck in Sayre. There are a couple of points to this: 1. The teacher used negatisim to get kids to pay attention, ...I am glad that people realize that this does not work. Motivation and encouragement is the key to anyone's success. 2. It is ok to work on a garbage truck. At least they are working at an honest living. Perhaps too many people are too quick to critisize others. If no one worked at these jobs, then YOU would have to deal with your trash. the problem is, we, as in hard working people, have to deal with trash like the teacher still to this day.

Sayre Public Workers
2008-03-20T04:29:38 I also think they do a wonderful job, sorry you were accused of the litter around town, I NEVER thought it was your fault. I just think its time Mayor Thomas and David Jarrett ( not sure of sp. ) took a ride around town and looked at all the garbage everywhere, its a mess !! For Mike Henrich... hats off to you for a job well done. Lets clean Sayre up !!!!

RE: A Coward>>.
2008-03-20T04:59:48 Hats off to Valerie Hunsinger. She is not a Saint (perfect) and never claimed to be...she just pointed out that it is a scientific fact that we wouldn't have to hear about "Peter Cotton Tail", etc and all of the attempted jokes about farting if people need to be accountable. Being "accountable" would mean using your name...Valerie and I are willing to use our names because we have a valid point whether we use our name or not...THAT's THE POINT....if your post is VALID, feel comfortable with it and let's move on, create discussion about VALID points and not a "rabbit's gas". ways to improve The Valley? Use names and real issues..."keeping it real"? Use names, that's as real as it gets and then all of the farts, dog poop, smelly people and racism disappear and YES, praise God, Jesus did die for all of us!!!! My name is Rick Green and I am OK with this message!

From Shirley, in Bradenton, Florida to Marie in Orlando
2008-03-20T06:13:21 Marie - You sound very unhappy down here -- maybe you need to find a place where there are not so many people --- where you have more people - you have more crime, etc. Sharing a city with Mickey will bring a lot of bad but more good than bad, don't you agree?! Where else could you have all that fun and then just be right back home cozy by the end of the day. These valley folks travel a long time to have fun in our back yard but we are lucky enough to be right here with all the great fun spots - not only Mickey but just an hour away is Daytona Beach!! You are just going to have to find a safe area over there in Orlando --- I have lived in Florida since 1980 and really have not had any of what you described in my neighborhood. You just have to learn how to be safe and remembering you are in a city instead of a quiet little town and have some fun!! I enjoy visiting the great summer weather up there and miss the mountains and friends and at times are ready to pack up and go 'home' but always look forward to returning to Florida even with the summer heat and all the things that you mentioned that I still do not think you will have to deal with in a normal lifetime unless you are going out at 3 a.m. and doing careless things and not thinking about where you are. Go get a nice beach chair and relax in the sun, and just remember how cold it is going to be in Sayre, Wavery and Athens and enjoy yourself! : )

Kickin
2008-03-20T09:34:26 Maybe you complainers ought to try working on the "Gut Wagon." That was what it was called back in the 1950's when I worked on it. It didn't pay much. But it was a job. We had to throw the garbage up over the top. The trucks didn't have a lower level loading area until the 1960 era.

to the boro workers
2008-03-20T10:11:02 I have lived here probably longer than you have been alive, and i see with my own eyes what goes on. i have been adhering to all the rules and regulations of the garbage/recycling issues here. not only myself but others have commented on the condition of sayre, and more importantly people from out of town have made the same comments. all we are trying to do is educate the public to clean up sayre, and make improvements. Many bags of garbage that go into that truck are FULL of recyclables , because some people are just too lazy to recycle. leaving cardboard every week just gets blown away by the wind and then there's litter all over the place. we appreciate the jobs you men do, it's other issues that have to be improved.

cats and dogs
2008-03-20T10:13:41 sometimes today's politics are already lots of hissing and growling... i guess we would be ready for anything, huh?

the new planet
2008-03-20T10:18:59 contact NASA as soon as possible. they can get you off earth and get you there. just be warned, there is no morning times guestbook there. don't forget to take the easter bunny with you.

encouraged to recycle
2008-03-20T10:43:30 " /> I believe if Sayre went to the "pay per bag" method of garbage, people would be encouraged to recycle. No one wants to pay for a bag of cans, plastic, etc. if it can be placed in a recycling container at the curb.

Town's a mess
2008-03-20T13:03:15 I also agree that the valley is going down hill. As I was driving through downtown Sayre the other day I couldn't help but say to my passangers don't you think this town looks like a run down ghost town?!?! The buisness district looks horrible!!! Garbage all over... As for computers and recycables on the side of the road... we need to set up a recycling day for other items. I was watching something on tv the other day where they have this electronic recycling day once a month... everyone can bring their old cameras, computers, prints, cell phones, tvs, ect... and they will be recycled the RIGHT way!! Did you all know there is about 4 lbs of lead in each computer monitor alone?!?! That is all going right to the dump and back to our environment!! Another idea would to be having the recycling center open more the 2 days a week!!! If you could go any day of the week except Sunday don't you think alot more people would participate!

Garbage along the streets
2008-03-20T13:10:20 " /> I recently on Tuesday saw boxes of garbage left at the curb. These were full of styrofoam "peanuts" . After the garbage truck went up the street , heavy wind came along , blew these boxes into the street, thus dumping out the peanuts . All of these plus bags and paper was all over the street and yards. The boro worker does not know what happens after he has left the scene. This is an example of why our streets become full of litter. What's the solution?

eliminating cardboard as garbage
2008-03-20T13:20:40 if TONS of cardboard was picked up, just how many more tons of glass , cans, plastic , newspaper, etc. go into the garbage truck??? People don't recycle , and place these items into their garbage and it all goes to the landfill. We watched over the years all of these items thrown out by our non-recycling neighbors. Beer bottles must be awfully heavy when weighed at the landfill.

ORGANIZE A CLEAN-UP VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE
2008-03-20T13:34:21 I do not live in the valley, otherwise I would absolutely stand up and organize a "CLEAN-UP THE TOWN" committee! Simple folks, use the energy you have to clean up your neighborhood instead of jsut talking about it! Steps are: Date, time, contact person, donated garbage bags, maybe gloves, contact the local bureau of waste management so that they know to expect LOTS of garbage to be picked up at a designated spot. BAN TOGETHER FOLKS! God gave us this world to take care of...........quite possibly as a test....... Take care of it! I would like to start the committee right in here actaully........IS SATURDAY, MARCH 29TH AT 8AM GOOD FOR EVERYONE? Where will everyone meet? Maybe TED, out publisher here, could give us free advertsing in the actual paper so that we can get alot of community involvement..........................Please respond ligitimately. update and enforce the rules
2008-03-20T13:43:51 our council and others have to really get moving to make all this work. What has gotten so frustrating for the citizens who do their part, is seeing and hearing that sayre is going downhill . Some of us have tried and tried to make suggestions to improve things. Now we have people who have come back after 20 years, and tell us to clean up. Our boro officials should be ashamed of themselves.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM THE BORO OFFICIALS!
2008-03-20T14:29:53 IS MARCH 29TH A GOOD DATE TO GET THIS PLACE CLEANED UP? LET'S GET THE MOVE ON!

Miss Perfect, lol
2008-03-20T15:50:52 Guess I dont have to leave my name here, everyone knows I am Valerie! Thank you Rick, for defending me, isnt it sad that someone felt they had to?? Nope, I am far from perfect, but I, in my infinite wisdom, know that the way to get things done is not to sit and send unfunny comments to a newspaper column! This is a Guestbook....people, do you know how to treat GUESTS??? LOL I guess not! But anyways, I am happy to see discussions getting started on how to FIX the problems instead of just complaining. I think that the idea of a clean-up committee is a GREAT one. And I will bet you that none of the cowards (yep, I said it again, my bad) will sign on to help! As far as humor, ok, I have a suggestion to make the stinker-haters happy. Why dont we make everyone have to pass a sniff-test before they are allowed to enter any public building? And you stinker-haters can be the sniffers!! That way nobody can sneak by unless they make YOU personally happy !!!! After all, thats why we are all here, right? To make you happy? Oh my! Well, I did get a kick out of this today... I have to point out something else...people who said they dont use their real name for fear of getting pounced on, well looky looky...thats exactly what you did to me!!! I love it! Well, I am not perfect, but you can't call me a coward, now, can you?? You made my day! If anyone wants to start up a clean-up committee, count me in. I am willing to help and I work two jobs...I WILL find time to help instead of whining, lol Let's go!! Have a great day everyone!

To Shirley in Bradenton from Marie in Orlando
2008-03-20T16:20:10 Interesting how one of my comments was taken - I was trying to make a point that crime is in Big cities as well as small towns like the Valley. Nothing else! The discussion in this forum at the time of my comment was about the amount of crime in the Valley. There is no need to downgrade the Valley area because of crime; it is everywhere even Mickey land was my point, too. How strange that I was determined to be 'a big complainer' by one or 'unhappy' by you. My statements are in the media reporting daily here as well as the Bradenton Herald. One can hardly compare Bradenton & Orlando yet I know that Bradenton is not like it was at one time. Interestingly, too, I spent a large portion of my life in the Palma Sola area of Manatee County so I know well what crime is like in Manatee County. I have many relatives & friends there, visit at least monthly, & read the Bradenton Herald daily. I was born in the Valley area, have lots of kin & friends there, visit often - most recently last week. My husband was stationed in the Orlando area before Disney. We chose to move back to the Central Florida area for our retirement because of its cultural offerings. We do live in a 'safe' section of the area. You mention being out at '3 A.M.' Do you know that recently a donut delivery man just doing his job was killed in a robbery at about that hour here? It was in a high crime area that he had been working for some time so I am sure that he knew to be cautious & careful for his safety. When I used to work with EMS, I remember going into those areas at 3 A.M. or so. I can guarantee you that there were some areas in Bradenton/Palmetto where we didn't feel comfortable working at that hour, too. I did make another comment on how people's thoughts in this forum are so misinterpreted, and very common in small towns. If you would like to correspond more with me, try arose8173@mypacks.net.

volunteer cleaning committee
2008-03-20T17:27:18 Saturday March 29 at 8 am sounds good to me. So far it sounds like there are two of you interested. If you live outside of the valley , where will you be coming in from? I don't think the Morning Times publisher will do any advertising, but maybe his parking lot might be a good place to meet. Do you realize that the whole boro of Sayre needs cleaning? It will take a long time to do this. Don't you think it is better for each citizen to do his own property cleaning on a weekly basis. When a committee gets done , the same situation will just happen again. You have to live here to see what we mean. to: Kickin
2008-03-20T17:40:06 Please don't think a few of us are just complainers. We still live here and are trying to keep Sayre in good shape. If I understand right, you now live in Florida? Do you ever come back here? I was a child in the 1950's . One thing different from your job back then and now, is that I remember seeing workers such as you have a broom, shovel, and rake on the truck. I saw the boro workers back then pick up what they dropped. I do not see today's workers have these tools on the truck. If something falls they pick it up with their hands or just leave it.

Ted Mike, Morning Times Publisher
2008-03-20T17:50:29 When the clean up committee is formed, please contact me and we will promote the event in our newspaper. to Ted Mike, publisher
2008-03-20T17:53:55 Will you print an update regarding the Fortune 100 business finding a new place to build in Chemung county? I think it was awful that so much was said about the Johnson's ruining an opportunity for jobs in our area, but now this business is still being built?

Rose
2008-03-20T18:38:00 Would you do a update on the sports complex and any information you have on it? I know someone has it ......

clean up crew
2008-03-20T19:10:37 I for one would LOVE to be a part of a " Clean Sayre Up " crew. The only problem is I work nights and 8am is real tough for me. Maybe we could have a second shift as well ?? Is there an empty heated building in Sayre where we can meet to get this going ? Or maybe someone has a place they want to donate for the volunteers ??? There are a lot of streets to cover but, it will be worth it in the long run. Thank you Ted Mike for agreeing to promote the event, thats a big help . Lets get this moving everyone ...:)

The clean-up idea.......
2008-03-20T19:45:07 I am the one that suggested the town have a clean-up committee.........I live in florida. Listen, it's not that hard to organize though! First, we need a person in charge of the committee, so someone in the valley needs to step up to the plate.............WHO IS IT GOING TO BE????? Take charge people! you heard Ted, he will publish it in the paper............POST YOUR REAL NAME IN HERE AND GET THE BALL ROLLING! You would be amazed at how many people will follow your lead! TAKING NAMES FOR THE CLEAN UP COMMITTEE
2008-03-20T19:48:03 Please be serious on this folks! If the valley looks and feels that bad, then do something about it! Do not rely on the boro or anyone else to blame or make excuses as to why it is not or should not be your place to clean it up! Besides, being outdoors is good and also, it will bring back the pride of the town that I once lived in! PLEASE GET THIS GOING!

And, Ted:
2008-03-20T19:48:51 thank you for stepping up to the plate and promoting this for the community!

re go green.
2008-03-20T19:54:11 Like any other town in the USA , the Valley is made up of many nationalities. It would be unfair to disignate one day to the Irish(which is my ancestry ,so no prejudice there) and ignore the Italian , Jewish, French, Polish, English etc. However, what a lot of people seem to be saying in this guestbook, is about the ethnic races that seem to believe we still owe them something because their ancestors were brought here to used as slave. I don't know if they know this, but their ancestors were offered a way back to Africa after the Civil war. There were ships waiting for them. They chose not to go. There is a movie Birth of a Nation, very interesting. I personally think if someone is offered an alternative and they choose not to take it. The debt is cancelled. I don't know about anybody else but I am an American, I have never been back the land of my ancestors, I do not use a prefix with my nationality. I also feel that anybody that comes into this country uninvited , illegally, should be shipped back out. I am tired of being told we have to learn spanish so we can dummy ourselves and schools up for people who are breaking the law and have no intentions of learning our language or obeying our laws. Would you want somebody to come into your home and take over and push you out? Wake up Americans...do something about it. Last but not least...this odiferous issue. Wouldn't fluffer be a better word for flatus? Soap can be used in dirty mouths too. Have a good day Valley and remember what Dorothy said to Toto. There is no place like home. Right Naomi?

Karen B
2008-03-20T21:04:04 I live in Milltown and would to be a part of the clean up crew. I think it should be run just as Sayre Borough runs there garbage pickup. Each town has a different Zone, we are zone 3 over here and then Eastside, Sayre, West Sayre has there own zone numbers. We could get some fliers out to residents to see who would like to join the committees and when they would be able to help. We could get a start up date, find a company or person to pick the bags up, or recycables. Maybe someone would even donate the bags ? I am all for this and it is long over due and I don't mind helping out Sayre. If you are interested in joining a clean up, speak up !

Learning Spanish
2008-03-20T22:41:30 I agree about our country changing its ways, and now everything is in Spanish. Every article you buy is printed in both languages. Years ago when an immigrant came to America, they were proud to learn English. Now it seems that the increased population of Mexicans has taken over and they don't want to learn the English language.

Buying Chinese products
2008-03-20T22:46:36 It's a shame also that so many products we buy ( mostly children's toys) are contaminated with lead. I wish the days were like before when America made its own products. I believe I read that even the contamination of Heparin was a Chinese-based product.

go green, red, orange,
2008-03-20T23:16:50 My point is there is a St. Patrick Day haven't heard of an Italian or Polish ect.,ect., Day. But there is an Irish day so whos to blame there? I was just joking anyways. I beleive Budweiser had a commerical for St Patty's and they were saying "lets get together and make this a national holiday". But I am sick to death of black month and some dude who had a dream gets to have a day. There was alot of nonblacks who did great things as well for this country. Hell lets give those chinamen a day for having cheap laborers, and trying to kill Americans with lead. Look at what you buy people if we all just payed attention a little closer, we could support our own products. Look at your labels people. I'm just as poor as anyone else, but I will take the time and read labels. I will never buy my pets food from Walmart again. I spend a little extra and go somewhere else. If we all joined together we could be the greatest country again!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS

re: learning Spanish
2008-03-20T23:19:49 Do high school students in Sayre have to learn Spanish? When I was in school we learned French. Also, do students still take some sort of Home Economics? Is there some sort of Parenting classes to prepare young folks how to raise children?

Valerie Hunsinger
2008-03-20T23:46:59 I would be more than willing to get the ball rolling on the clean-up committee...thank you Ted Mike for offering to promote it ! This could be a start of bigger things to come. I noticed alot of trash flying around today on account of the high winds, it does look bad but I dont agree that it looks like that all of the time. We can make this place look nice again, and maybe it would even motivate groups/homeowners/business owners to start other beautifying projects. These days, we need something to keep morale up and what better way than to make our hometown beautiful again! Lets go!!!! I already set up an account for emails, it is cleanupsayre@yahoo.com. Anyone interested, send me an email and I will do whatever it takes. Also, I work odd hours too, but I know something can be worked out for everyone!

Scott Bird
2008-03-21T01:52:47 I applaud all the people who want to take the initiative and start this clean-up committee. I also am a Sayre Boro Employee and would like to thank all the people who appreciate what we do. I feel that if people would take 10 to 15 minutes a week and simply took care of their own property this would make a world of difference. We do try our best to ensure that things we drop we pick up. However we also have approximately. 2000 units to collect per garbage run and have 3 of those runs per week. One way to stop or at least slow down the (mess) that occasionally is left behind is to put all your garbage in bags then place bags into the cans. That way if it falls we can simply pick the bag up and put it back in the truck and leave no mess. Again I thank everyone for the support you give and would like to see things improve as well as everyone else.

CLEANUPSAYRE@YAHOO.COM
2008-03-21T02:30:29 It has been decided! Valerie Hunsinger is the official chairman of the clean up committee! Thank you Valerie for stepping up to the plate! Now for the rest of the residents in the valley------step up and do what it takes to improve the valley! valerie set up an email address, ted is giving free publicity, the boro staff will get involved. Here are some pointers folks: Call Walmart, home improvement stores, etc and get things donated: trash bags, paint, grass feed for when spring gets there, people can call the local businesses and get them involved : do the stores look clean? And the schools, do they look clean? Maybe the schools could organize an after school program or a work program (age appropriate of course) so that teenagers could put their energy into volunteering instead of inappropriate things! Besides, colleges love to see volunteer and community involvement on that application! THINK OUT OF THE BOX AND GREAT THINGS WILL COME! God doesn't give us things, he creates an opportunity for you to recognize what needs and has to be done! He gave us this beautiful earth and our life to do something with it. DON'T WAIT FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO SIGN UP FOR THE CLEAN UP CREW, STEP UP AND DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE!

In need of VOLUNTEERS, trash bags, etc etc. MARCH 29TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CLEAN UP OUR VALLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MARCH 29TH!!!!!!!!!!! CLEAN UP OUR VALLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CLEANUPSAYRE@YAHOO.COM Get involved!
2008-03-21T02:37:25 Tell your neighbors, co-workers, friends, relatives, everyone! Ted, you should publish an article NOW so that our community will know about this! MARCH 29TH! CLEANUPSAYRE@YAHOO.COM. The details to be collected are as follows: volunteers, donations, coordination with the boro for pick up times, location, March 29th: where, 8am? until? . Not that hard to get this rolling and not that hard to put some elbow grease in on the 29th!

Proud!
2008-03-21T05:19:23 See what happems when you use your name? Any questions people???? Rick G.

To Marie, in Orlando
2008-03-21T06:22:14 Oops!! Didn't really read your post, did I! I thought you were talking about the crime stats in Mickey-land. I felt I had to protect the mouse's fantastic reputation, he is like a member of our family. I have such little time and was just zooming over these posts to see what was new up in PA this afternoon and didn't get what you were talking about apparently. Isn't FL wonderful - see you on Cortez Road in our not so wonderful traffic. : )

To Scott Bird
2008-03-21T12:54:57 I agree with you 100% , that cleaning of one's own property is the way to go. And also ALL garbage should be bagged, making it easier for the boro worker. So now it's up to his higher up to enforce this. Another big problem is that Absentee Landlords don't care about the appearance of their rentals. Their tenants don't know the rules of the boro. More has to be done to educate every Sayre Citizen regarding the garbage AND recyclying AND cleanliness of SAYRE.

Trucks full of garbage
2008-03-21T12:59:14 Another problem with garbage is the new Scrapping businesses in Sayre. Many of these trucks do not cover the scrap they are hauling, and some don't even have a tailgate to hold in the junk. When this stuff falls into the road, it is not picked up by that driver. Is there an Ordinance regarding this?

Tractor trailers
2008-03-21T13:05:25 It seems that North Elmer Avenue has become a tractor trailer route. I have seen many speeding and breaking limbs off of the trees. Why can't our police start monitoring this street now and keep it safer for the children and other people who live here? Also all of these heavy trucks have done a lot of damage to the road surface.

Holidays
2008-03-21T13:13:56 I'm not sure, but I think St. Patrick's Day did start as a Catholic holiday, many years ago... and then through-out the years after Martin Luther King Jr. was killed, African-Americans wanted a special government holiday also.. so it was created.

Happy Easter
2008-03-21T13:22:52 Yes, GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS.

Mary ( MOM)
2008-03-21T13:38:38 I would like to wish my son Brian and andrea and new son Dylan a Hoppy Easter. Wish you guys was here. I miss you and can't wait to see Dylan.

JENNIFER LOCKWOOD
2008-03-21T13:42:16 HAPPY 36TH BIRTHDAY TO MY BEAUTIFUL COUSINS!!!!!!! BOBBIE JO AND BILLIE JO.. FROM THERE MUCH YOUNGER COUSIN

to Rick Green:
2008-03-21T13:51:22 I don't mean this to be a negative comment, but I never once posted my name and I am the one who started the clean-up idea. Sometimes it's good to promote ideas and events and quite frankly, I don't need the recognition. But thanks for your support of the idea. And like I said people, email Val at sayrecleanup@yahoo.com! Get involved! And by the way, it's Good Friday. Be good, generous, caring and thankful!

Troops
2008-03-21T13:56:36 I feel that we do need to bring our troops home. Also for those of you looking for the preditor website if you go to the Waverly school website they have a link to watchdog. Powers Twins
2008-03-21T15:28:13 Happy Birthday to my daughters, Bobbiejo Powers-Frisbie and Billiejo Powers-Miller.... now lets eat cake ! Love, Mom and family Eastcoaster
2008-03-21T16:22:21 Just another suggestion for your clean up day. Contact the local Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. They are always looking for community project and they usually have good hook up as to where to get donations from. Get the kids involved in this program and show them how to take pride in there town.

Valerie Hunsinger
2008-03-21T16:30:14 Wow, progress! I am so excited about this cleanupsayre project! I have had a few people respond, it will take some time, I am sure. I want to let interested parties know, however, that March 29th is way too soon! I am realizing how much is involved and there is a lot of planning to do! Help is already coming from unexpected sources, some people have GREAT ideas! To the person who suggested getting in touch with the department stores and such, thank you so much! I am keeping a list of all the helpful ideas and OFF WE GO!! I am running with this! Please, anyone who wants to help, dont be afraid to jump right in, send an email to cleanupsayre@yahoo.com and be part of the solution! We have a great little town here and it can look nice again if everyone just chips in a little bit. I am not expecting people to give up all of their spare time, on the contrary.... I personally have very little spare time, but every little bit helps! Even if you can spend an hour a week helping out....if you work an off shift, choose your own hours, this isnt a job, you dont have to punch in and out, this is just a way to give everyone the opportunity to make a difference and make everyone proud to be living here in our little town! To the person who suggested the idea in the first place, you are my hero this week, lol Who knows...maybe Athens and Waverly will follow suit!

Ted: Urgent!
2008-03-21T19:56:49 Ted: Can you publish an article letting the community know that sayre has a volunteer clean up committee for March 29th. It would need to be published this weekend.......if you can, then I will coordinate with Valerie via email and have all the details finalized for you in advance of the article running.

Clean-up Sayre
2008-03-21T20:00:08 I am all for the idea and will volunteer my time. You would think that the city officials would be more involved in this. Ted does need to publish an advertisement letting our community know about this as it has to be all hands on deck. Sayre was once a very nice community and it can be again with neighbors pitching in for one another.

CarolAnn Shaver
2008-03-21T20:00:32 I would like to wish BILLIE JO & BOBBIE JO A HAPPY BIRTHDAY

HELp!
2008-03-21T20:00:52 Does anyone know the contact info for the boy and girl scouts, as someone pointed out a good idea and get them involved as well.

clean up committee
2008-03-21T20:02:04 who are these people organizing the committee? Someone in Florida (now acting as the coach) and someone named Valerie , who in earlier comments called many of us "cowards" for writing opinions in an anonymous manner. This guestbook is a sound off, opinion website. Now she is the big chief in the organization , wanting the glory of recognition . If she didn't do so much criticizing and name-calling of many of us, we would probably have been more willing to join her bandwagon.

take care of your own property first
2008-03-21T20:06:48 I am already spending at least one hour a week cleaning my own property. Do you realize that many of us Senior Citizens are taking care of our homes. Is it up to us now to go and clean a 20-something year old welfare family's property ???

The HEAD COACH IN FLORIDA!
2008-03-21T20:20:00 Well, even from a far distance, I do not see anyone in the valley stepping up to the plate and making things go in the right direction. I don't mind organizing the event, even from Florida, so until you can contribute good and helpful ideas, step out of the way so that the rest of the caring citizens can contribute to a better tomorrow! IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO IS THE COACH, AS LONG AS THE TEAM WINS! The town of Sayre needs to be cleaned up...............trust me, after it done, accountability will come into play! Trust me! To the senior citizen:
2008-03-21T20:22:24 IT's nice to hear that you take care of your property, however, it does not make you look very nice when you call your neighbors out like that. While it can be annoying to live around people less than adequate than you, spend your time talking to them instead of critisizing them. Maybe they never had parents that cared enough to teach them values like you have. Contribute to life, and enjoy the journey!

SONDRA LEARN
2008-03-21T20:46:33 Sorry I cannot take the credit for being the coach from Florida, even if that is where live. But I read the daily commits on this guestbook almost daily, and hats off to Val who is taking interest in cleaning up Sayre, and to all the people that decide to take the walk with her. I agree it cannot be a one person project, but with each home owner, or renter taking the responsiablity of taking care of there own yard, and or trash it will improve the community. HATS OFF TO ALL OF YOU, HAVE A GREAT EASTER, AND REMEMBER GOD LOVES US ALL.

Athens High School Class of 1983 - Reunion !
2008-03-21T22:42:09 The Athens High School class of 1983 will be having their reunion October 11th, if you graduated in that class and wish to attend, please e-mail Don at green@imsweb.com.

Clean up our town!
2008-03-22T02:42:00 Come on everyone! GET INVOLVED and pitch in! What is an hour or two out of your day????? We need everyone to step up to the challenge and make our town a better place to live! March 29th! Email Valerie at cleanupsayre@yahoo.com!

To the farty old person comment:
2008-03-22T02:51:44 I could not believe the comments posted about people with gas issues until it happened to me today at the pharmacy! I was standing in line and this person in front of me let one out so loud and gross that my child looked up at me and said "Mommy, what was that.....eew." How embarrassing! The person just blew it off like it never happened. I do not think that there is any difference in being rude with comments or rude with outrageous uncontrollable body functions in public. People need to stop this disgusting behavior! And to those of you that made comments to just move one when this happens, I disagree! I told that lady she needs to appologize for her accident and she gave me a dirty look! Gave me a dirty look..........she was the one who invaded my space with her gross behavior! Unbelievable!

TO the person "not so willing to help Valerie"
2008-03-22T02:55:14 Set aside your opinions and do what is right for the community. Help out! Get involved! I don't think that Valerie wants recognition, I think that she wants to pitch in and get the community looking good again. So come on folks, lets get out there and get the job done!

God Bless our Troops!
2008-03-22T02:57:20 Say a prayer for our troops over this Holy weekend. easter eggs
2008-03-22T02:59:04 I hope that all these people in this valley that have these gas issues don't eat too many boiled eggs as we all know what that can cause!.................hope there is a case of pepto bismol in their basket!

from one parent to another............
2008-03-22T03:18:00 While this is common sense, it needs to be addressed! Parents need to bathe their children EVERY DAY! I have seen kids that look so dirty that I feel very bad for them. It is not acceptable to send your kids to school being filthy so that other kids pick on them!

Re-Sir poopsalot
2008-03-22T10:53:16 Good luck on the clean up. " /> What difference does it make? Blowing off gas. Or spouting off hot air? Which it seems that this guest book is for. I will drive over to Sayre after the alleged clean up. Then will add more comments here. In years past the boro crews did a good job of trying to clean up the town. But let us all remember that we are living in a different era. People live different and seem to have more "TRASHY" habits. Like throwing fast food wrappers out the car windows. Good luck on the clean up.

This town is full of bologny!
2008-03-22T13:51:54 More of you want to sit back and complain rather than actually join in and clean up the town! Why isn't the city officials stepping up and enforcing litter laws? The town looks junky, trashy and poverty stricken. It's just too bad!

Valerie Hunsinger
2008-03-22T15:47:46 I need to clarify something to a few people here. First of all, we are not going to be cleaning up people's properties. That is their responsibility., and it's not our goal to be everyobody's mother. It is the responsibility of ALL homeowners to take care of their own properties. Our goal is to clean up the streets and allies and hopefully motivate people to take pride in their community! We do have a nice town here, no matter what some of you think. ALSO, we are not going to be able to do it on March 29th, there is alot of planning involved. As far as people getting involved (the city officials) they will probably be very helpful, they most likely dont even know what we are planning yet! To the folks "not so willing to help Valerie", I am not concerned with you. I am concerned with the folks who ARE willing to step up to the plate and not hide behind their computer and moan and groan and watch everyone else do the work. Sorry if that grinds you the wrong way ! Well, actually, I am not sorry, erase that. I will say this, I cant really be too hard on you moaners, you guys are the reason this got started - in a roundabout way, lol So go ahead, pat yourselves on the back a little . I know it will probably ruin your day to know that you actually got something good started!! Eastcoaster, thank you for taking the time out to find numbers!! Every little bit helps! To those willing to help, send an email to cleanupsayre@yahoo.com!!! This could be alot of fun...on to the next complaint...maybe someone else will get something good started!! HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!

Valerie Hunsinger
2008-03-22T16:38:00 Happy Birthday to my nephew Eric Booher on March 25th....won't be long now before you're old enough to drive, bud!!! lol Thanks for hanging out with us boring "old folks" last night, hope ya had fun!

Finally she woke up
2008-03-22T18:51:33 sounds like valerie has finally understood what many of us have been saying all along. maybe if she listened a little more, and quit talking she'd be better off. i hope she and her crew can figure out just what to do. don't expect much support from the senior citizens of the town. seems like we became a joke to you.

clean up in Milltown
2008-03-22T19:50:36 Hats off to the person (s) that have started to clean up in Milltown already !!! The road to Wildwood is cleaned up and so is part of Cayuta Street. Whoever did this, you are wonderful people and I thank you. :)

Step up to the plate
2008-03-22T21:26:08 Does this mean baseball or have a nice Easter dinner?

Memory Lane
2008-03-22T21:27:49 Does anyone remember riding bicycles with banana seats? Did anyone shop at Pandora's Box on Desmond St?

Why ask the Scouts?
2008-03-22T21:45:15 Why should boy or girl scouts do the work of adults who own Sayre properties? Every homeowner has to abide by the ordinances of Sayre. When their lawns get to be so unsightly, that homeowner needs to clean up themselves. Why should children be expected to do this?

Happy Easter to Methane Man
2008-03-22T21:55:40 I see you went to that new planet and came back... don't eat any eggs tomorrow..

Drugs vs Baloney
2008-03-22T22:00:20 Last weekend all we talked about was drugs in the valley ,, now we are full of baloney.. wonder what next weekend will be. Maybe someone will preach again about our high rate of STD's here.

Insurance for the clean up committee
2008-03-22T22:02:55 Do you have to have proper insurance and a boro permit for volunteering for this committee? I would love to help out but who would pay if I get injured on this job? Is the boro of Sayre responsible? to insurance
2008-03-23T00:08:28 Are you kidding....I guess you better stay home just incase you might get injured.

Eastcoaster
2008-03-23T03:36:06 TO The WHY ASK THE SCOUTS!!! Are you really for real, this what they do. It's not all about projects and crafts. It's about giving back to the community in which they live. To learn to be model citizens. They are hard working boys and girls who are trying to make themselves better. Learning to live by rules and honor. Guess you were either not a scout or just never went very far. I have two troops that I lead and I can tell you they take pride in giving back to there community. It gives them a sense of accomplishment. We are NOT asking them to clean up personal property. But I can assure you, if asked they'd be more than willing to do so with no questions asked of WHY, How MUCH, Will this BENIFIT me etc.................. ( note, I do know that this was not part of your post) They live by HONOR, COURAGE and COMMITMENT to themselves and the Pac/Troop. This is something that this community could learn from. What is going to happen is you will clean up common area's that are PUBLIC. I don't believe I have EVER read anywhere, where it stated personal. To Rick Green who is angry with the person in Florida who suggested it ,get a clue dear one. Why is that if someone does a nice jester people like you tear it down. I am sure if he/she was here they'd pitch in. I find it interesting that, we that are far away still care for own HOME town. I am 3000 miles away and found numbers for you. This is my way of giving back to MY HOMETOWN (well actually I was born and raised in Athens, but its still home no matter what city)! I have read and pondered about many of the posts in here and well some were freaking funny, but sadly they were serious. I wish I had all your worries. I wish I had all your time. I live in a world of the military, where I don't see my husband for months at time. I learn to do it all. To take on the world and people like most of you. We are a unique bunch of people we military. We take care of our own, but yet we reach out to our civilian brothers and sisters. We don't ask for thank yous and reconition, WE JUST DO IT. These men and women lay their lives down for the very freedom of which they provide for you here today in this forum............FREEDOM OF SPEACH, but most important FREEDOM of all kinds. For those that will jump on this and say who are u to tell me this. Well I'll tell you..... I am ME and I am proud of serving my country, I am proud of my husband who is still doing so. I know who I am and what I want out my life. I know sacrafice I live it everyday. I know the faces of my children who worry if their daddy will come home. I've seen the faces of the ones that don't. So all your little problems of poopy dogs, farting, smelly people are so superficial to me. How many military families do you have in town? How many of you have made the effort to go to them, see how their doing, ask them if they need help, clean up their yard. Ok I am off my soapbox for now! Just so we cover this, if there are any miss-spelled words sorry I didn't use spell check. =)

If ignorance was golden we could make a fortune!
2008-03-23T04:39:17 I cannot believe that people would actually complain over making their community a better place to live. America was NOT built on poor attitudes---it was built on pride, hard-working individuals that were determined to have values in their life. I guess all the complainers are illegal immigrants or something!

To the moron insurance comment:
2008-03-23T04:42:04 Are you an abulance chaser or something? I bet you weigh in at about 300 lbs, sit on your fat a$$ all day eating junk food collecting welfare or disability claiming your a$$ aches. Stay out of our business you chump!

To Rick Greenery:
2008-03-23T04:43:42 What is the deal...........are you for the clean up the town project or not?

Seniors
2008-03-23T04:45:41 What is with the senior citizens in here having bad attitudes lately? No one has asked any of you personally to help out. It must be all the comments about you people farting too much that made you upset. Go have some tea and calm down!

Ted:; It takes way too long to download this page!
2008-03-23T04:52:54 Why does it take so long to download the guestbook?

Sounds to me like.........
2008-03-23T05:00:40 The valley needs a gastro-type doctor already! Maybe some pepto bismol or gosh, I sure hope during snow storms these people have enough toilet tissue!

TO the insurance comment:
2008-03-23T05:02:12 call 1-800-sit-on-your-a** while hard working people VOLUNTEER their time to help clean up the town!

I betcha........
2008-03-23T05:02:58 Did the insurance comment come from that Rick Green dude?

I have got the story of a lifetime!
2008-03-23T05:17:09 ?Yes, it is true....when it comes to hygeine, people can be gross. I was at a doctor's office a few months ago and this guy stunk too high heaven and back ........he stunk like pee. Finally, after all of us other patients insisted to the staff to make him leave, in which they did make him leave, they brought out a can of lysol and sprayed it all over the chair he was sitting in. It makes you wonder, when you use anything for public use these days, from chairs, to shopping carts, everything really, who has touched it before you? UUUGGGGGHHHHH!

Easycoaster:
2008-03-23T05:32:30 Why "Eastcoaster" went thru thru the enormous post about me, I have no idea. I have never had an opinion on the clean up Sayre idea but I am certainly not opposed to it...nor am I opposed to using a name. Maybe people should actually RE-READ my last post where I gave credit to Val for actually ORGANIZING and USING her name. I wish her and the volunteers well and if I could be there, I would and most of you know that....actually went to a Habitat for Humanity thing this morning, in Tarpon Springs, FL. Love you all, Rick Green

Rick Green: from Eastcoaster
2008-03-23T06:33:22 Please use your eyes and READ my post it is TO RICK GREEN, sorry that I forgot to put ; or this : to seperate this for you. So take down your plumage because I was NOT referring to you! So don't flatter yourself thinking the whole post was about YOU. So your hell bent on names , am I afraid to use mine NOPE!!Rebecca Duncan, now do you feel better! I know I do....... =) So nice to meet you Rick Green. Glad to know that your such a good citizen and did the whole habitat for humanity this am. I was out alone with my kids taking them to Easter Egg Hunts while there father is deployed. Have a Happy Easter!

a little help , please ?
2008-03-23T12:09:20 Why am I not allowed to make an inquiry re: a new dentist?

to Rick Green:
2008-03-23T14:14:11 aren't you the one that set up the date of march 29 for the clean up? this was posted 3/20.

Just wondering
2008-03-23T14:17:48 Really, if a boy scout is cleaning the street downtown, and gets cut or hurt, what are the insurance liabilities? Who is responsible for this? Think it through.

re: dentists
2008-03-23T14:20:03 yes, you can ask the question, but remember, the publisher might delete any answers. It has happened to many of us.

a long, long, time
2008-03-23T14:21:49 it takes a long time to download this website, because there are too many comments. someday it will self destruct.

not quite 300 lbs
2008-03-23T14:26:56 wrong! I am 35 yr old, 125 lbs, long blond hair, 36-24-36, female, work two jobs, work out at the gym twice a week, support my child and my parents. What you described are my neighbors, the Chumps. Do you know them too?

Just wondering from eastcoaster aka Rebecca
2008-03-23T15:13:27 The boy scouts are covered by the boy scouts insurance no matter what! So stop your worry, they will be covered incase of accidental incedents. OY, your so worried about this, why don't you make sure that even one is covered, That will be your job from now on. The insurance police. Geeeeesh.

oops
2008-03-23T15:14:33 that should read everyone, don't want the grammer police to haul me off to school! =)

Jonathan Bradley
2008-03-23T18:07:28 Just want to say the Times web site has been approving over the years. Nice Job! I enjoy reading about the Valley that I once lived...since 1979. All you SHS class of 78-81 hope all is well! I know that most of my friends back in Sayre have not heard from me in a long time but you are not forgotten. Happy Easter! Brads.

Looking for a dentist
2008-03-23T18:12:44 OK - Here goes nothin'.................... I haven't seen a dentist in a long time & I need to. Probably like most of you , it's not my favorite thing to do & I've had more than one bad experience in the chair. I would really appreciate any advice , comments , etc. in helping me find someone who is gentle & understanding. THANKS !!!

Dear looking for a dentist
2008-03-23T18:55:03 I am a dental assistant and I just want to let you know that dentistry has changed a lot. When looking for a dentist, the most important thing is feel comfortable the minute you walk into the door. When asking the dentist questions he should answer so that you understand. He/she should also give you many different options on treatments (if needed) and not just the most expensive one. If being in the chair makes you nervous, there is NitriousOxcide to help with this and many other differnet medications that will ease your nerves. This is something that you need to speak to them as well. They should be more than willing to make your visit the most comfortable for you. The most important thing to remember is NO MATTER HOW LONG ITS BEEN SENSE YOU'VE BEEN TO THE DENTIST, YOUR THERE NOW AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS. In my office here our first dental visits (for new and patients that haven't been in for awhile) is about an hour long visit. In which we take a full set of x-rays, full exam, (which includeds the whole mouth, head, neck, TMJ, IntraOral, tongue) then onto the treatment planning if treatment is needed. This is where the dentist should take you through several different options on what needs to be done, what needs to addressed ASAP, and explain to you in terms you understand. Then the office lady, will have this printed up for you and have the money broke down, so you can see how much. I hope this is a help to you. I am not in the area for I live in the Pacific northwest now, so I can't recommed someone for you. But I hope this helps you. Eastcoaster (aka- Rebecca Duncan)

how to choose a dentist in the valley
2008-03-23T22:33:11 it was a nice story from the lady out west, however, my suggestion would be to go into the office that you already mentioned and see what's it like. I know her office opened a few years ago , and I believe she is a very good dentist. good luck. Peggy [B] Smith
2008-03-23T22:34:29 Everyone who knows my sister Pixie[Orpha ] Johnston--- She is closing in on another birthday--- March 31 . Give a big Happy Happy for that day. Lot's of love Pixie , and behave !!! As for memory lane , I got to be friends with the couple who had Panadora's Box , they were really cool people , loveeeed the poster room and all the posters.Nice people who ran a different kind of place, but something for anyone who wanted to shop . I hope everyone had a BLESSED EASTER , we can all start a new ,because of the GRACE given to us ,because He loves us ...

Guestbook Issues
2008-03-23T22:58:07 Why is the guestbook upside down...the sort should be newest on top to prevent dragging your mouse way down the page to read the newest post...plus it takes 30 seconds to open.

2008-03-24T12:03:20 re: story of a life time, How dare you and others insist that the Dr. staff remove that patient from the office, it sounds to me like he desperately needed to see the Dr. Had I been in that office I would have insisted the patient (that smelled like pee) see the Dr. before anyone else. Hope you never have a serious illness, some of them give off very offensive odors! AND SHAME ON THE STAFF IN THAT DR. OFFICE!

Valley Clean Up, etc.
2008-03-24T14:16:00 Please stop with all of the negativity and name calling already. I can't believe the comments that are posted on here that are so hurtful, especially around Easter. The Boy Scouts of America provides insurance for all sanctioned Scout activities. As long as the local Scout Master has filled out the appropriate paperwork and gotten Council approval to participate as an organizational activity, insurance is not an issue for the Borough clean up endeavor. I applaud Val for taking on this huge task. Wish I could be there to help! Stop nit-picking and start helping others in your community or get out of the way. Toby Stein, Balad AB, Iraq

Don't forget!
2008-03-24T15:17:42 March is National Colon Cancer Awareness Month-if you are over 50 the American Cancer Society recommends getting screened for colon cancer with a colonoscopy. Talk with your primary care physician about it today!!

TO PAT: RE: Smelly patient comment
2008-03-24T16:59:01 I agree with the staff that kicked that guy out of there! No one needs to be subjected to someone's disgusting body odor...especially pee! Sounds to me like the guy was a mess and too damn lazy to use the bathroom! Like the original comment pointed out, it is disgusting that someone else probably sat in that same chair at a later time. GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are probably one of those smelly people, aren't you PAT, why else would you have such a tolerence for disgusting odors????????????????????????????????????? You are probably use to it!

PAT: you are a loner out there!
2008-03-24T17:03:32 I believe that you are alone on this one PAT! It is NOT ok to subject other people to your disgusting body odors! If it were a case of health issues, the staff would have never kicked him out of there. He was lazy and refused to use the bathroom as normal people would have. As the original comment stated, it is gross to think about who has touched things before you have to.....from shopping carts, to seats, etc.. IT IS CALLED USING SOAP AND WATER! Have you ever heard of that?

2008-03-24T19:26:38 Kudos to Toby for speaking his mind. I couldn't have said it better myself.

one more thing
2008-03-24T20:17:39 Now that I am fired up, I want to say one other thing. All of the comments here about people on welfare....not all of them are worthless bums. The average household cannot get by on one salary alone anymore and we have lots of single parent households nowadays. Lots of these "welfare" people work, but they cant make enough to survive anymore, especially if they have children! True, there are people who abuse and misuse the system, but thats not always the case. And guess what! Things are just gonna get worse with the rising costs of everything! I also have taken care of many elderly folks on "welfare", I would never in 1,000 years disrespect them for it! What else can they do? Survival is what it comes down to, and the welfare system is in place to help people do just that! I think alot of these comments are coming from people who just havent seen the other side or havent taken the time to think about it. I would like to believe that most people dont automatically hate people who need some extra help! Dont knock these people because someday, you may have to walk more than a few miles in their shoes!!

TO PAT:
2008-03-24T20:28:18 YOu must be one of those smelly people otherwise you wouldn't be here defending that disgusting person.
