Three teams remain undefeated in JV play

    Games continued once again for the 2008 Waverly Girls JV League with Watkins Glen, Edison and Tioga remaining undefeated.
Odessa 23, Edison 33
    Nicole Bargesser led her team with 12 points and teammate Courtney Edger added eight points to help Edison win their game.
    Allison Stamp was the leading scorer for Odessa with nine points.
Notre Dame 64, Athens 11
    Notre Dame’s high scorers were Taylor Drake with 18 points, Betta Gublo with 16 points, Liz Bukley with 10 points and Erin Kelly with nine points.
    Athens’ highest scorer was Searah Kennedy with four points.
Towanda 30, Canton 22
    Towanda had three high scorers. They were Darien Lantz with 14 points and Paige Vanderpool and Ashley Fleming with eight points each.
    Canton’s high scorer was Becca Machmer with eight points.
Watkins Glen 22, Waverly 13
    Leading scorers for Watkins Glen were Mikel Fazzary and Steph Classon with six points each.
    Waverly’s Emily Meyers, Christine Talenti and Haley Moorehead had three points apiece.
Tioga Central 19, Corning West 9
    Tioga Central’s Callie Patsellis led her team with six points and Sara Whitney, Natalie Burns and Allyson Richter each had four points.
    Leading Corning West was Carolina Downing with five points.
    Wednesday’s games will see Waverly against Odessa at 5 p.m., Edison will challenge Watkins Glen at 6 p.m., Corning West will face Towanda at 7 p.m., Canton will challenge Tioga Central at 8 p.m. and Sayre will go against Notre Dame at 9 p.m. All of these games will be at the Waverly High School gym.
