The 10th Annual Joel Stephens Invitational Tournament continues throughout the weekend, with last year’s champion, the Bradford County All-Stars, looking toi defend their title.
The 16-team field includes other local entries including teams from Elmira Heights, Corning, Big Flats, Mansfield, Jersey Shore, and Montoursville. Twenty-three games will be played on Friday and Saturday at Shaute Field, Kelly Field in Smythe Park in downtown Mansfield and at Joel Stephens Field at Williamson High School in Tioga.
Bradford County began its run with a 6 p.m. game Friday against Elmira Heights and will play twice today. Bradford County’s first game is against Jersey Shore at 2:30 at Williamson and the second is at 6 p.m. against Corning Gray at Shaute Field on the campus of Mansfield University.
The winners of each of the four divisions will play for the Joel Stephens Championship on Sunday while the runners-up in each division will square off for the Josh Palmer Championship.
Other teams in the tournament include Bath (NY), Fabius (NY), Hornell (NY), Greece (NY), Cherry Hill (NJ), Lansing (NY), and Brockville (ONT).

Admission is free to all games.
A raffle featuring four tickets to a Philadelphia Phillies game this year including dinner and a personal tour of Citizens Bank Park with Philadelphia Phillies General Manager Pat Gillick along with autographed Major League items will also be held.
Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and have been available at Shaute Field starting on Friday.
Friday’s game against Elmira Heights gave Bradford County a 5-1 win.
Bradford’s first four runs came in the second inning followed by the final run in the fourth.
Mark Martin pitched for Bradford County and was credited the win with seven strikeouts in five innings. Anthony Carr took over in the sixth with Eric Wells catching.
Eric Secor had a double and Shane Raupers and Secor each added two RBI.
Pitching for Elmira Heights was Masker with Lane catching. Mike Rich had a double and an RBI.
