Athens majors suffers loss against Troy in Little League softball

    The Athens Little League majors All-star softball team suffered a 10-0 loss against Troy on Wednesday.
    Pitching for Athens was Kiersten Horton who had three strikeouts and eight walks with Mackenzie Hafer catching. Athens had two hits which were a single each from Kirsten Colegrove and Savannah Babcock.
    Troy’s Tiffani Mattocks pitched had had four strikeouts and a walk with Kelly Bridgeham catching.
    Troy had five hits for the game starting with two singles from Kayla Stephani. Kendra Case, Taylor Murray and Kelsie Bristol each added a single. Mattocks, Stephani and Amanda Jones also added two runs apiece for the team. Bridgeham, Manley and Seeley added a run each to give Troy the win.
    Athens will now move on to play against Potter McKean at the Athens Little League field on Friday at 6 p.m
