Waverly and Athens picked up wins Tuesday in Athens Junior High Summer Basketball League play.
Waverly 52, Mansfield 23
    Mark Connors netted 18 points and Chris Raupers chipped in 16 for the junior Wolverines in their win over Mansfield.
    Reese Correll topped Mansfield’s scoring list with 13 points.
Athens 55, Towanda 8
    Brad Sampson swished in 21 points to pace a strong Athens effort. Jon Canfield added 10 points for the winners.
    Joel Miller led Towanda with four points.
Athens 52, Watkins Glen 30
    For Athens, Garrett Clark’s 13 points led a balanced effort. Craig Moore added 11 points and Brandon Fauver chipped in nine points.
    Jesse Teeter topped Watkins Glen with nine points and Kyle Beebe added seven points.
