Binghamton, N.Y. -

2008 Tioga Central graduate Julie Chambers will be heading off to college in just a few weeks not only to get a great education, but also to play Division II volleyball with the Binghamton University Bearcats.
In the past four years Chambers has been a four-year letter winner and a three-sport athlete in basketball, softball, and volleyball.
In the fall of 2007, Chambers earned third team All-state volleyball honors in Class C and was an Interscholastic Athletic Conference first-team honoree. Chambers was also named a Division II MVP.
Chambers graduated this past spring as a Lady Tiger school record holder for service points (251) and assists (391) in a season.
Binghamton University earned its fourth consecutive conference postseason berth in 2007 with a 7-5 conference mark and at 16-18 overall. The Bearcats welcome back five starters, including the libero, and 12 letterwinners for the 2008 year.
