Waverly takes tough loss

Waverly, N.Y. - Waverly lost to Horseheads 15-14 on Monday in a Little League 11-12 All-star game.
Waverly was behind in the fourth inning 10-2, but managed to come back with eight runs to tie the game, but fell in the seventh inning when Horseheads scored five runs over Waverly’s four.
Pitching for Waverly was Ryan Wolcott. Hitters were Cody Marchese with a grand slam, two singles and an four RBI; Dylan Perry with a three-run home run, a single and five RBI; Kyle Kinsley with a two-run home run and a single; Colton Miller with two singles and Jacob Baldwin, Ryan Wolcott, Collin Traub and Ryan McFarland with a single apiece.
Pitching for Horseheads was Brent Weiland. Hitters were Weiland with two home runs, Ryan Piersimons, Matt Weeks, Garrett Farr and Brian Hace with two singles each; Matt Hicks with a single and Riley Cesnand with a double and a single.
