Athens charge past Huck Finn

Athens pitcher Parker May fires a pitch towards a Huck Finn batter during Wednesday’s game. May pitched a stellar no-hitter game with 10 strikeouts and only one walk.

    Athens 9-10 year old Little League All-stars continued their trek through the Bottone     Tournament on Wednesday and walked away with a huge 12-0 win over Huck Finn.
    Parker May had a great night beginning by pitching a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts and allowing only one walk. May then went on to lead his team at the plate with a triple and an RBI.
    The rest of the Athens team gave Huck Finn a one-way ticket home starting with Matt Collins who had a double, a single and an RBI. Sam Perri and Zach Sitzman had two singles and an RBI each. Ryan Seager had two singles and Austin Lister and Adam Hunsinger had a single apiece.
    Athens will move on to play a game on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Waverly Little League B-field. The team they are playing against is yet to be determined as of press time.
