The Athens Minors Little League All-star team took home two wins this week with their first win on Sunday, June 27 against RTL. Athens won this game 7-6.
    Pitching for Athens was Parker May who had 11 strikeouts.
    Hitters were Zack Sitzman with a double, May who went two-for-three with a single and a double and Aaron Barry, Shane Colegrove and Ryan Segar with a single each.
    On Thursday Athens won their game 12-2 against Northeast Bradford.
Barry pitched and had 11 strikeouts and only allowed four hits.
May was on fire with a home run, two doubles and a single tacked on four runs and two RBI.
    Barry pulled double duty with going three-for-three with a walk, two doubles, a single, three runs and two RBI. Matt Collins went two-for-three with two singles, a walk, a run and an RBI and Sitzman and Segar each had a single with Sitzman adding a run and an RBI.
    Other runs were scored by Austin Lister, Colegrove and Adam Hunsinger. Hunsinger also had an RBI.
