Welcome home

On Saturday, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Heath Stone was welcomed home from a 13-month deployment with the United States Army in Afghanistan. His time away from home was closer to 15 months due to time spent quarantining in Fort Drum before his deployment. “The pandemic threw a twist on everything for everybody,” said Stone’s wife, Jenny. This was Stone’s ninth deployment, having previously done several tours of duty in Afghanistan, Iraq and Africa. Jenny said that Stone is currently awaiting news about a potential promotion opportunity and hopes to retire in two years. Pictured here, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Stone is greeted by his 7-year-old daughter Eliana, 2-year-old daughter Elissa and wife Jenny.
